MyCareerPath strives to expand its reach
How higher education can collaborate with industry to address skills gaps

We were delighted that Atlantic Technological University’s MyCareerPath received additional HCI funding earlier this year to allow the project to continue up until December 2026.

Building on the first four years of the project, we strive to expand the reach and impact of MyCareerPath, which is funded by Higher Education 4.0 under the Human Capital Initiative (HCI) Pillar 3.

At this time of year, we like to reflect on some of our key impacts, including enabling companies to access upskilling programmes to support employee career growth and lifelong learning.

MyCareerPath exemplifies how higher education can collaborate with industry to address skills gaps. Recently, we had a request from maritime workers whose jobs are under threat and who may need to upskill. By offering guided career pathways and employability tools, we try to empower individuals to reflect on their strengths and plan their future careers.

When individuals are given the right tools, they become more confident, motivated, and committed to long-term career development – it benefits both themselves and the economy.

We look forward to the opportunity to connect and explore how we can continue to work together in supporting national skills development and learner progression in 2026.

Wishing you a happy Christmas and sincere thanks for your support throughout the year.
