ATU MakerSpace to exhibit at Sligo Engineering Fair
ATU MakerSpace will be among those exhibiting at the Sligo Engineering Fair, which returns for its sixth consecutive year, at Atlantic Technological University’s Sligo campus this Sunday, March 2.
Running from 12pm to 4pm, the fair promises a day filled with exploration, innovation, and family-friendly fun, with ATU MakerSpace bringing its own unique blend of creativity to the event.
ATU MakerSpace is a pioneering initiative that fosters technology and creativity within ATU – and beyond through its outreach programme into secondary schools – inspiring the next generation of students to embrace STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as dynamic educational pathways and career opportunities.

Meanwhile, those attending Sligo Engineering Fair can enjoy all that the ATU exhibitors have to offer, be it building and launching a foam rocket, constructing towers and bridges from marshmallows and toothpicks, or meeting ‘Alex’ the robot and ‘Sparky’ the pet robot dog.
The Engineering Fair at ATU Sligo will also include a wide range of performances, interactive displays, workshops, and demonstrations for all the family to enjoy.
This event is free, and the canteen will be open to serve hot food all-day.
